Functional specifications

We are almost ready to release version 0.2 of webical. To get more attention to the project, a new style is developed which will be included with the new release. To help with the installation of webical, a readme and install script have to be written.

Technical implementation

README

A new README should ease the installation of webical. Install instructions are already present on the Wiki, but a short version has to be included for the people who want to get started right away. The short install version will assume everything is installed by default. Variations on the installation will be covert briefly in the README. For the extended install information a link to the wiki will be included.

SQL Scripts

A database install script will be provided with the new release to create the needed database. 2 scripts are needed:

• Create script for the calendar database
• Create script for the authentication database

The readme assumes the user is using a MySQL? database to authenticate. The wiki should cover alternatives to the MySQL? authentication.

Build target

A new build target is needed to build the release package with the appropriate configuration files. These files will be included in /etc/release.

Wiki Update

It may be necessary to update the wiki. Extended install instructions have to be altered/written and release information has to be updated.
